Welcome time-line!

We released time-line v1!

Welcome time-line!

Introducing Time-Line Studio: The Future of Creative Performance Control

After years of experimentation, prototyping, and live testing on some of the world’s biggest stages, we’re proud to announce the release of Time-Line Studio — a powerful platform that bridges music, visuals, and live performance into one seamless creative workflow.

Time-Line Studio is built for artists, show designers, and creative technologists who want to synchronize every element of their performance — from audio to lights to immersive visuals — with precision and ease.

Why We Built Time-Line Studio

In modern performances, music is only one part of the experience. Audiences expect immersive shows where lights, visuals, and effects feel as tightly choreographed as the music itself. Until now, creating that connection has been complicated, often requiring a patchwork of tools, MIDI/OSC scripts, and last-minute technical hacks.

As touring artists ourselves, we knew there had to be a better way. Time-Line Studio was born out of the need for:

  • Reliability: A system that can handle the demands of a live environment without crashing.
  • Flexibility: Support for everything from Pioneer CDJs to DMX/Art-Net lighting systems, Ableton Live, and custom MIDI/OSC devices.
  • Creativity: Tools that allow show designers and performers to design workflows visually, without deep coding knowledge.

Key Features

1. Real-Time CDJ Integration

At the heart of Time-Line Studio is deep integration with Pioneer’s Pro DJ Link protocol. The software can listen directly to connected CDJs, track BPM, beat grids, and playhead positions, and then use that data to drive external systems. For example:

  • Trigger a strobe exactly on the downbeat.
  • Launch synchronized visuals when a new track is loaded.
  • Keep lighting and video playback perfectly in sync with the DJ’s tempo.

2. Visual Node-Based Editor

Time-Line Studio introduces a node-based editor that makes designing complex show logic intuitive. Want to ramp up a color fade, repeat an effect, or trigger a MIDI sequence only during breakdowns? Simply drag, connect, and configure nodes.

This visual approach opens the door to:

  • Automation flows similar to Zapier or Node-RED, but tailored for live performance.
  • Reusable presets for commonly used effects chains.
  • Conditional triggers based on track position, key, or performance state.

3. Multi-Protocol Support

Time-Line Studio isn’t limited to a single ecosystem. It speaks many “languages” of the performance world:

  • MIDI for instruments and controllers.
  • OSC (Open Sound Control) for advanced software integration.
  • Art-Net/DMX for lighting control.
  • WebSockets & APIs for modern integrations (think VJ software, custom apps, or IoT devices).

4. Collaboration-Ready

For larger productions, Time-Line Studio allows teams to collaborate. Show designers can build flows in the studio, while touring techs adapt them to each venue. Cloud syncing ensures that every change is stored and accessible, whether you’re at rehearsal or backstage.

5. Built for Stability

Because live shows leave no room for failure, we’ve prioritized rock-solid stability:

  • Real-time monitoring with built-in health checks.
  • Redundancy options for critical triggers.
  • Lightweight architecture optimized for both laptops and dedicated performance hardware.

Who It’s For

Time-Line Studio isn’t just for DJs — it’s for anyone who wants to connect music with visuals in real time.

  • Touring Artists: Take control of lights and visuals without depending on venue tech.
  • Show Designers: Prototype complex show cues quickly with visual nodes.
  • Clubs & Festivals: Standardize visual and lighting triggers across performers.
  • Creative Technologists: Use Time-Line Studio as a sandbox for building new interactive show elements.

From Studio to Stage

We designed Time-Line Studio with both preparation and performance in mind:

  • In the Studio: Map out flows, experiment with visual logic, and simulate show conditions.
  • On Stage: Run your performance confidently with a minimal, distraction-free live interface.

This dual workflow means you can arrive at a venue with everything ready to go — no last-minute scrambling to sync your visuals with your set.

A Glimpse Into the Future

The release of Time-Line Studio is just the beginning. Our roadmap includes:

  • Offline playlist analysis for pre-show programming.
  • Deeper integration with Resolume, Lightkey, and other VJ tools.
  • AI-powered automation suggestions that analyze your set and propose synchronized effects.
  • Community libraries where users can share and remix automation flows.

We envision Time-Line Studio becoming the standard operating system for creative shows — a tool that transforms how performers and designers connect with audiences.
